Mike Pavlansky - Head Football Coach

Mike begins his 14th year as a Head Football Coach and his 9th season at Canfield. Before coming to Canfield as an assistant coach to Tony Ross, Mike was the Head Football Coach at Mentor High School and Lisbon David Anderson High School. Mike teaches social studies at the high school. Mike is married to the former Lisa Barrett. They are the proud parents of three daughters: Nicole (14), Jenna (12), and Lauren (10).

Mike Strohecker

Entering his 8th year at Canfield, Mike is responsible for the wide receivers this fall. A graduate of Mount Union College he teaches health and physical education at the high school. Mike and his wife Jolene are the proud parents of three children. Daughters Isabella and Trinity and son Zane.

Gary Hoelzel

Gary begins his 25th year of coaching high school football. He enters his 9th year in Canfield and 6th as the defensive coordinator. Coach Hoelzel is responsible for the inside linebackers. Gary and his wife Kim are the proud parents of two sons. Colin, a Sophomore at Ohio Northern University, and Connor who is a member of the varsity team.

Dan DiGiacomo

Entering his 5th year with the Cardinals, Dan will coach the offensive line this fall. Previously Dan served as the Head Football Coach at Wilson High School in Youngstown. Dan teaches science in the high school. Dan is single and resides in Poland.

Dom Prologo, Jr.

Dom begins his 12th season in Cardinal Country. He spent 5 years as an assistant coach to former Canfield Head Coach Jeff Bayuk at Hubbard High School. Dom will be in charge of the secondary this fall. Dom owns and operates Austintown Financial Center. He is in his 22nd year of business. Dom and his wife Kerry have two children, Ali (13), and Vincent (8).

Brian Fedyski

After a one year hiatus from coaching, Brian rejoins the coaching staff as the offensive coordinator. Brian will also be responsible for the offensive line. Brain begins his 26th year of coaching football. Previously Brian has been the Head Football Coach at Austintown Fitch and McDonald High Schools. While at McDonald Brian led two of his teams to the State Finals. Brian and his wife Judy have 3 children: Julia (15), Zachary (12), and Alicia (9).

Jon Elliot (Picture Coming Soon)

Jon begins his 2nd year as part of the Cardinal staff. He previously spent 6 years at Niles High School. Jon will coach the running backs and serve as the Special Teams Coordinator this fall. Jon enters his 24th year of coaching this fall. He is currently teaching at Niles High School. Jon and his wife Nikki have a son Jon (10), and two daughters Ainsley (4), and Ava (3).

Greg Kerr (Picture Coming Soon)

Greg begins his 2nd year in Canfield. Greg will be responsible for the defensive line this fall and also assist on the JV level. In addition to his coaching duties, Greg will teach Social Studies in the high school. Greg and his wife Nikki have a son Ethan and a newborn daughter.
